When he committed himself to QNET, he experienced almost the same hardships in the form of rejections. “First hardship that I faced was rejections by my brothers and sisters. Second was when there were a handful of media attacks on QNET in 2012. The third was when my key leaders quit for another enterprise.”

Despite all these difficulties, he held on to his reason why he continues to do what he does. He advises the same to aspiring leaders. “Refer to the first block of success. You need to have a very strong "why". For all along this journey, you will meet people who will discourage you. There will be a lot of challenges that you will have to face, and your "why " will be the only thing that will keep you strong and at peace with your goals,” he said.

Motivated by the desire to free his mother from poverty, he persevered. “She is not among us anymore but she’s proud hereafter, and that was my goal,” he said. AVP Kone Doupin reaped all the hard work that he sowed during V-Malaysia 2017 when he went up onstage when V Founder Dato’ Sri Vijay Eswaran welcomed him as the newest member of the Associate V Partners.

When asked how he would like to be remembered, he answered, “I would like people to remember me as someone who suffered but continued moving forward. A true follower of a professional working system, and heeds the advice of Leader Fofana Amaral who courageously imposes rigour and discipline to build his own team.”
