We were all very happy and excited for the opportunity to be InService during the We Are One! World Tour in Kerala on 6 December at the Ammu Presidency. There were 75 participants who were equally as enthusiastic about this wonderful event.

The event was scheduled to begin at 3:30pm, so we in the InService Crew were tasked to report at the venue at 2:00 pm so we can go through our preparations ahead of time. We discussed the different departments that will be deployed for this particular event, and what the specific responsibilities will be.

There were seven of us who were present to serve at the events: ISB Graduates Dr. Satheesh Kumar, Dr. Subash Kumar, and Lakshmi Narayan, as well as Dr. Suresh, Dr. Ranjith, Dr. Sadanandan and Benoy Paulose.

The following departments were in force that day:

1.    Crew Chief

•    Dr. Satheesh Kumar

2.    Security

•    Dr. Subash and Dr. Suresh
      They took care of the speakers needs from the time they reached the venue and also assisted them when they moved to and from the stage

3.   Music & AV

•    Dr. Ranjith
     Supervised the music and audio-visual media

4.   Gate keeper

•    Dr. Sadanandan
     He stood at the main entrance, welcoming the crowd with a big smile and reminding the latecomers to switch their mobile phones to silent mode as to not cause any interruption to the program  

5.   Time keeper

•    Lakshmi Narayano
     His role was to remind the speakers about the time at regular intervals of 30, 15, 5 and 0 minutes and ensure a smooth program flow and sufficient stage-time for all speakers.  

6.    Hospitality

•    Benoy Paulose
     He made the participants and speakers comfortable and provided refreshments when needed.

After the event, all InService met with VC Dr. John for a short talk. There were no major challenges faced and everything proceeded quite smoothly.
